On Friday evening, March 24, 2017, Mr. Contreras, among other LAUSD employees and community members, received from the LAUSD Board of Education “Hero in Education Award” plus a “Certificate of Recognition” from the city of Los Angeles from Councilman Joe Buscaino, 15th District. The ceremony was extremely inspiring to hear about the wonderful contributions that individuals have made to the field of education. Thank you, Mr. Contreras, for representing 66th Street Elementary School as our Hero in Education!!
