Grade Level Expectations

Students who attend preschool at 66th Street are provided with rich and stimulating activities that prepare them for Kindergarten.  They are expected to become grade level proficient in the following domains: Self and Social Development which includes identity of self, Language and Literacy Development which includes following increasingly complex instructions, English Language Development which includes comprehension of English, Cognitive Development which includes problem solving, Mathematical Development which includes number sense of mathematical operations, Physical Development which includes gross motor movement, and Health which includes personal care routines.
