Grade Level Expectations

Students begin their journey in school!

In Kindergarten, students are taught concepts of print. This includes being able to identify sounds, read and write words, as well as write simple sentences. They are also taught strategies to aid them in reading comprehension. Kinder students are required to memorize 110 sight words.

In math, students are expected to leave knowing how to add and subtract, use estimation strategies, and identify geometric objects like, sphere, cube, and triangles.
